Dear Club Member

Welcome to the first of the autumn newsletters. We hope that this year has been a creative one for you, and that perhaps, some of your work will feature in our Annual Exhibition? Please support your club by paying us a visit, saying hello to the committee, and spreading the word, encouraging friends and family to visit this free, excellent show of fellow VOPAC mem- bers’ best work. Here’s a reminder of the dates:

Saturday 4th September – Sunday.12th September 10am – 5pm. @ The Memorial Hall. FREE admission for all.

AGM 2021: – was well attended. Thank you to all members who came. The New Rules were adopted, the committee was re-elected and a new member came on board. Jeff Stokes, who has previously served on the committee, was welcomed back. Please do consider serving on the committee if you have some time to spare. You too will be made very welcome! For further details of proceedings do have a look at the AGM minutes which are attached.

OCTOBER WORKSHOP with Jane Austin – ‘Watercolour Landscapes’ is on Saturday, 16th October and is filling up quickly – only 4 spaces left! Please book ASAP. The £10 deposit can be paid when you attend the Exhibition, or via BACS or a cheque to Sue Broughton. The balance- £25 – is payable on the day.

MONTHLY CHALLENGES: You may have noticed the absence of the monthly challenges on the website recently. As the club is functioning again, it has been decided to dispense with these for the time being.
We would however like to encourage you to continue to send in images of your own work to be exhibited in the website gallery of artwork. As usual, please share your efforts with us by sending a good quality large jpeg. of a photo of your painting to the club email.

Newsletter 9/21 September 2021


Brian and Sally Tozer are proposing a taster session in ceramic work. You will watch a demonstration of 3 or 4 techniques, then have a chance to make a sim- ple ceramic piece of your own. Only 8 people per session.

The cost for club members is £15 per person (normally £45) and includes ma- terials. Payable on the day to Brian Tozer. Please wear old clothes or bring an apron, and your own lunch. If the weather is good we will work outside, though there is studio space if it rains.

The session will start at 10.30am and conclude at about 3pm.

Provisional date is Saturday 18th September 2021

Limited parking spaces, but walking distance from town centre, or share a car.
