 Newsletter 11/20 December 2020

Dear Club Member,
Welcome to the latest club news. The committee hope you are all keeping well and managing to enjoy some artistic activities at home.
Unfortunately, under Tier 2 we are not able to hold any club activities, so there will be no practical sessions or evening meetings until March at the earliest.
We have cancelled the January monthly meeting and the February AGM will be postponed until later in the year. A full programme of demonstrations and two workshops have been booked for 2021 and we look forward to being able to resume these when regulations permit. See the web site for details. We are more optimistic about being able to continue with Outdoor Painting Days next season and the programme for these will be available when the situation is clearer.

Club Logo Challenge

Thank you very much to those of you who responded to the challenge and submitted some great entries. Sue Broughton’s winning design is shown below. Committee members liked the simplicity and reference to the colour wheel and it sits well alongside the new club letter heading above.

Monthly challenge

We had a good response to the November Autumn Colours challenge. Thank you to those who sent in pictures for the web site.  It is not too late to send in yours if you have one.

The challenge for December is to send us something red! It could be a Christmas bauble an apple or a Father Christmas!  Just get out your materials and have a go! Please do send photos to the club email so we can share them via the web site.

Membership Renewal

As mentioned in the November newsletter, this will be coming to you by email after Christmas and the membership fee will be reduced to £10 for 2021. for those members who renewed at the start of 2020.  We will be using Google forms and electronic/online payment.  New members who have joined from September onwards are covered for 2021 and will not need to renew.

We are confident that you will all look forward to enjoying artistic activities together when the current difficulties are resolved.

The committee wish you all as happy a Christmas as possible

and a brighter future in 2021
