Newsletter 3/21 March 2021
Dear Club Member,
Welcome. We hope you are well and happily engaged in artistic activity? With a mooted ‘map’ out of lockdown, we’re now looking forward to resuming a ‘normal’ calendar of club activities as soon as Covid restrictions are eased or lifted.
A sizeable number of club members expressed interest in Zoom demos. We are hoping to arrange a demonstration of this very effective sharing-the-learning medium in either April or May. Keep an eye on the website for further information.
Outdoor Painting days (OPD)
Until restrictions are lifted, OPD’s will have to be arranged at short notice this year. These will be announced via the Newsletter and on the website.
Wednesday and Friday Monthly Practicals
Lynette and Krystyna are happy to continue with these if there is enough interest. If you would like to attend either/or both session(s), perhaps you could let us know? We may have to use the large hall to give adequate Covid safe space, and this is a lovely place to work in, however numbers may have to be restricted. Please use the email ad- dress at the bottom of the page to indicate your interest.
If you haven’t already done so, please do renew your membership. The subscription is only £10 this year!
Monthly Challenge – March
Thank you and well done to all of you who sent in your February wintry sunrise scenes. This month’s delightful photograph was taken by Lynette – we’ve called it ‘We Are Fam- ily’ – and that is this month’s theme. Use the photo for inspiration or create your own interpretation. As usual, please share your efforts with us by sending a good quality large jpeg. of a photo of your painting to the club email.
Last but not least, your VOPAC committee is now 6 – that’s 4 folk shy of an ideal 10. Please, if you feel that you could contribute in any way, do get in touch. We just need some non-officer members, so nothing too onerous. We’d love to have you!
We wish you a sunny, warm and happy springtime.
