Newsletter 7/21 July 2021

Dear Club Member

What a confusing mix 2021 weather is – whatever the temperature, we hope you are enjoying the summer and recording it in your favourite medium. Meanwhile, here are this month’s events:

JULY DEMONSTRATION: ‘Yorkshire Buildings in pen and Wash’ with John Harrison. on 8th July 7pm-9pm

We are still under restrictions; seating must be reserved and masks worn and please bring your own drinks etc. The last demo with Delia was very enjoyable, and we are sure you will also enjoy watching John’s pen and wash techniques, accompanied by his usual, lively delivery.

Wed 30th June 10am at Levisham Station and

Tues 13th July 10am outside Pickering Castle. No need to book, just come along and enjoy.

THE MONTHLY CHALLENGE for July is – A Day by the Sea. Please see overleaf for photo and details.

VOPAC now has a public Facebook group that any members, or those interested in Pickering’s local art can join! To do so visit.

We also have an Instagram page “pickeringartclub” where members’ monthly art is posted and we now have over 60 followers.

NEW: Look out for mid-month Reminders  in the post about 3rd Wed and 4th Fri practicals and themes.

and finally: THE ANNUAL EXHIBITION mailing will be sent out soon, but there’s still plenty of time to get your best work ready to show and share.

With best wishes from your VOPAC Committee
