Newsletter 4/21 April 2021

Dear Club Member,
Welcome. It is spring at last and flowers and blossom are all blooming beautifully. Is there plenty of artistic endeavour going on? We hope all is well in your life, as we look forward, at last, to the gradual easing of some Covid-led restrictions this month, with more in the weeks and months to follow.
Local Outdoor Painting Days
We hope to resume these as soon as possible. Your venue suggestions would be very welcome. Venues do need to be local still, with plenty of space, and of course, loos. If you have a favourite spot that fits the above criteria, do let us know.
The First Zoom Demonstration: Thursday 13th May at 7pm.
James McGairy will be painting ‘Yorkshire’ in acrylics. There will be opportunities during the demonstration for questions from the audience. To participate,in this new experience, you will need to download the Zoom app. It’s easy to access, and it’s free. Logging on and other details will be sent out in the May Newsletter. We hope you can join us online – please let us know if you intend to do so.
Membership Packs
These will be coming your way very soon, via email or by post, as requested.
Monthly Challenge
Many thanks to those of you who responded to ‘We are family’. Some heart-tugging images there. Which brings to mind the website. Please do visit this regularly for up to date information and, of course, inspiration.

The April challenge is a little different this month – there is a choice of theme:

1. The sunbathing squirrel is entitled simply, ‘Spring Sunshine.’
2. A lovely and rather appropriate quote from a Haworth lady – how would you illustrate the following?
“Spring drew on…and a greenness grew over those brown beds, which, freshening daily, suggested the thought that Hope traversed them at night, and left each morning brighter traces of her steps.” — Charlotte Brontë
