She has loved drawing and painting from a very young age and graduated from Hull School of Art in the late 70s after studying graphic design, illustration, typography and photography. Her first love is figure drawing and painting but she really likes trying her hand at anything that catches her imagination, always seeking to capture the essence of the subject of her artwork. She mainly work in soft pastels and since 2013 has been invited to many  art clubs and societies to carry out demonstrations and workshops for their members. Her commissions in the past few years have ranged from seascapes to farmland and landscapes, formal portraits to studies of children and pets.
