Newsletter 04/22 April 2022

Dear Club Member,

Hello members,

If you are in receipt of this newsletter, your membership for 2022 has been registered.

We really do hope that you will support all of the activities planned for this coming year. An outdoor painting day schedule will be with you shortly.

You may be aware that a letter was sent out to all members about the future of the club beyond the end of the year.  We would urge you to read it.  We are aware that those users of Google and Gmail in particular, had an amber warning about club communications, but we can assure you that it is safe to open the attached letter.

Our main event of the month is the demonstration by local artist, Peter Reynolds. The subject is Wildlife using acrylic paint.

Please note that this demonstration takes place on Thursday the 14th April at 7pm in the Mill Suite. The Whistler is being prepared for an art exhibition by the Northern Artist group.

We will still be practicing our Covid precautions, i.e., spacing, masks if wished, clean hands, etc. Refreshments will be available at this event. We will also be adopting Covid safe practices in the kitchen.

The 3rd Wednesday group will be meeting on the 20h April at 7pm in the Mill Suite. The subject is “toys”.  You can of course work on your own project.

The 4th Friday Group has been permanently cancelled as there is insufficient support going forward.

The Heather Burton palette Knife workshop has been rescheduled for the 8th May (Sunday).  If you could not attend the previous earlier date, and would like to do it now, please let us know.  The subsidized cost is £35.

We have early notice of a workshop by Jonathon Pomroy at Castle Howard Arboretum in August. Please check his website for details.

Happy painting from your VOPAC Committee
